Human beings are tamed creature by nature who does not like dull things. The nature has taken care of this very feature of human beings by customizing the planet for them. One can hardly find anything constant around us. Weather change, day becomes night, abundance of colors and even you tend to change your thoughts too. When so much is on change spree then what are you waiting for?

Now a person who is in blogging business and earn its living from it should also apply the natural rule of change to their blogs in order to keep earning from it. The research shows that there are more than 27 million established blogs available on the Internet. The number is enormous and so is the competition. One needs to work hard to get his market share. Now the point here is that can a mundane and dull blog live up to this challenge? The answer is simply negative. As a blogger you are suppose to be aware of everything about this field and pre-requisites of its success.

At this point, I would like you to stop ignoring the inevitable change that your blog needs from long time. A blog can be redesigned for various reasons or even for no reasons. I don’t recommend you to change your blog design every now and then however you should realize when is the right time to redesign your blog even if it is once in a blue moon.

My today’s post is all about describing the need and right time for blog renovation. Through this post, I would like you to have litmus test and if you find one or more things mentioned in the list then it means you should start thinking about redesigning your blog immediately:

1. 3 B Rule: Blog, Brand and Basics

I am sure you have not heard about this rule before however, you are about to read about it. The three words i.e. Blog, Basics, and Brand are the points of significance. The first B indicates your blog, your workplace or your focal point. Brand however, means you need to establish your blog as a brand only if you want to exist in this industry for long. Once you have decided about building it as brand you need to work on 3rd B basics which means you immediately requires immaculate logo and branded theme colors. If you do not have those pre-requisites then you need to redesign your blog as per new requirements. See, it is beyond doubt that for professional brand building you need to have logos, theme colors, images and different icons because all of this will help your blog to stand tall.

2. C Rule: Content Structure

The importance of content has been mentioned on every blog for tremendous times. So, I don’t want to repeat that however, I am intended to focus on its structuring. The importance of perfectly creative written gets wasted within few seconds when reader visit your site but the poor readability makes him leave your page immediately. In such situation, you need to go and visit your own blog and read it through reader’s perspective without being based. If you take time to find the desired content on your own blog, you need to redesign you blog and bring the content to the forefront. Don’t forget to focus on perfect readability alignment and typography while redesigning your blog.

3. E Rule: Extra Add-Ons

I know it’s too early to say this but why not, let’s face it that your blog is not perfect but whose is? We all know that nothing is perfect and there is always a room for improvement. You just need to find that room more sensibly. The world of web is way too big with abundance of opportunities so, it is possible that you might be missing out on some important extra features for example, the new social media icons, tweets and RSS etc. Adding them in the existing design of your blog will only mess it up more. If you want to add something extra, then it is the right to consider redesigning of your blog.

4. M Rule : Messy Design

The older blogs usually receive many changes with the passage of time. The new advancements lead to add or subtract different things from blog. This mathematics can leave a lot of muddle on the blog which does not look tidy at all. If this is the case with your blog then don’t give the idea of redesigning it a second thought.

5. R Rule: Rivalry

The growing competition calls for fierce working on your blog which definitely includes the design make over. If you competitors take care of their design and you are lagging behind then you are late. Try to know the moves of your market rivals and always give them tough competition. For that you need to up to date yourself with new advancements which you might need as per Extra Add Ons E rule. Put some extra effort in order to implement Content C rule.

6. A Rule: Attraction

It is possible that your traffic has been consistent with high bounce rate. It clearly indicates people are not having a very pleasant experience on your site. If the stats reveal such data then it’s a call for redesign. People need to be attracted, announce it over your site make them crave for it and announce dates for new implementation of design. It will certainly increase the attention as well as lower the bounce rate.

Final Rule

In final rule, I would say there is no such rule because by finalizing something you actually puts end to the change. Whereas, I believe nothing is constant but change. Keep good track of everything you can in order to keep the change constant. Some people just afraid of change because they have customized themselves with whatever they possess however, by doing so one simply ignore the potential success by implementing change. Embrace the flaws with open heart, correct them with enlightened mind and make money with sensible earning.

Let’s Change!!!
