If you are stuck with 2 Pantone’s colors, you should not worry because you can even experiment with them and see what looks better.
3. Go beyond the edges of the paper:
Mostly people limit themselves to the space within the paper. If you really want your design to stand out, you not only need to think outside the box, but you also need to think outside the paper. Do not limit yourself because of the borders. In fact you should learn to go beyond them. If you are a good designer, you will definitely figure out how to do it correctly. Thinking that your work would just end at the edge or corners of the paper is not a good idea. Think beyond and do something unique.
4. Don’t be afraid to take risks:
We all know that there are some standard paper sizes which we all prefer to use during printing. However, there is no harm in letting standard things take a back seat and try something new and risky. The standard size is A4 but if you think it is appropriate you should go for A5 or square booklets. Both have various advantages as square booklets will provide you with a good reading experience and since A5 is smaller, it will be easy for you to carry the pages along with you. The choice is totally yours but bottom line here is that one should not be afraid to take risks.

A lot of people use images instead of text to spread their message because nowadays people think that readers don’t really read what is written in the brochures and posters. They only scan the entire paper to see if something is of interest. If using text is important, go for it. Do not use images just for the sake of it because at times, text is necessary to deliver the message.

This is being constantly mentioned here and there that over crowding your page will do no good for you. If you look at the final designed page and think it has too much of information, than it does and you need to remove unnecessary information. Keep things simple and precise. It I s very important to remove visual noise and you might have heard this a million times but because it is true, I will quote it here that less is always more so make sure you are not torturing your readers.
